Abstract:
PURPOSE:To form a color image with reduced memory capacity, by repeatedly performing the development, writing and reading of a plurality of image memory means in parallel. CONSTITUTION:Each of full page memories 4-1, 4-2 has capacity capable of storing the data corresponding to one color of the color image of one manuscript. Next, a CPU analyzes the PDL data held to a PDL data memory to develop an indicated image on a full page image memory with respect to one output color component. The CPU 5 changes the access to the developed full page image memory to an address generating part after the finish of development to one of the full page image memories 4-1, 4-2 with respect to one output color component. By repeating this process with respect to each of the output color components of yellow, magenta, cyan and black, a full color image is formed.
