Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the color image pickup device that reduces production of a false color at input of an image with high luminance and whose saturation is not changed to a low saturation without losing a dynamic range of a color signal even in the case of photographing an object at which only a color signal receiving clip processing is generated.
SOLUTION: The color image pickup device is configured by providing a clip level setting circuit 31 that sets a clip level K for GO, BO signals depending on a level of an R0 signal for each pixel outputted from a color separation circuit 8 and a white clip circuit 32 that applies clip processing to GW, BW signals whose white balance is adjusted by a white balance adjustment circuit 27.
