A reception flag is set when receiving sYCC-JPEG data and the reception of the sYCC-JPEG data is informed to the main processing in steps ST1 to ST8. In the main processing, when there are data to be printed (ST11), setting of the reception flag of the sYCC-JPEG data is confirmed (ST12) and the reception of the sYCC-JPEG data is informed to user (ST13). The notice is performed together with display of inquiry about whether the received data are printed or transferred. The user enters instruction of print or transfer in response to the inquiry display (ST 14, ST15). In the case of the transfer instruction, the sYCC-JPEG reception data are transferred to a PC and so on (ST16). In the case of the print instruction, the sYCC-JPEG data are printed (ST21).
