Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a clear color image by effectively utilizing the recording area of a recording medium and preventing the color slippage of the image even when elongation and contraction is generated in a direction which is perpendicular to the carrying direction of the recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: In a color image recorder which forms the composite color image on an electrostatic recording paper 4 by superposing the images of different plural colors, the elongation and contraction of the width direction of the paper 4 is detected by two edge detectors 8 consisting of a line image sensor 31. Based on the detection signal, the number of the picture element of a one- line image signal is corrected by a recording head control circuit 14.
