Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color toner having excellent durability which hardly causes irregular transfer in a solid image with a color toner having a small particle diameter, or a white void, a scattered state in a transferred fine line, or voids in fine lines, contamination on the base or filming, and to provide a method of forming an image.
SOLUTION: The color toner is prepared by adding an additive to a mother toner consisting of at least a binder resin and a coloring agent and as 5.0 to 9.0 μm weight average diameter D4. The weight average diameter D4 of the toner and the image density D0.6 after fixed when the deposition amount of the toner on the transfer material per unit area is 0.60 mg/cm2 satisfy the relation of the formula: D0.6=-0.15D4+k (2.3≤k≤3.3). The ratio D4/Dn of the weight average diameter D4 to the number average diameter Dn is ≤1.30.
