To readily control color tone of a colored glass and increase transmittance by coating a specific color tone correcting film on whole the surface or on a part of the surface of a colored glass.
Whole the surface or a part of the surface of a colored glass is coated with a color tone correcting film containing a metal oxide and silicon dioxide in a ratio of (x)MmOn:(100-x))SiO2 (M is a metal element, preferably at least one kind selected from Cu, Co, Ni, Cr, W, V, In, Nd, Bi, Pb and Pr; (x) is 0.5-50wt.%). For instance, glass colored to yellow inclining to amber is coated with a coating agent containing copper oxide and silicon dioxide in a ratio of the former: the latter of 40:60 to control the color tone to light yellow shifted to a green side.
