To obtain the subject composition which has decreased in defective application due to electrical causes through prevention of static electrification of the colored resin in production of color filters by patterning after its application on a base material according to the spin coating method, by adjusting the electrical conductivity with formulation of an electroconductive material.
This composition comprises (A) a transparent resin, (B) dye(s), (C) dispersant(s), (D) a solvent (e.g. Ethylcellosolve), (E) an electroconductive material (e.g. microparticles of a metal, such as indium). The electrical conductivity of the composition is set at ≥10E-6 siemens. As the component A, an acrylic resin, i.e., a copolymer from 10-25 pts.wt. of a monomer of formula I (R1 is H or CH3), 10-30 pts.wt. of a monomer of formula II and 40-80 pts.wt. of a monomer of formula III (R2 is the same as R1; R3 is a 1-5C alkyl) is preferable. As the component C, a derivative from an organic dye having substituent(s), such as hydroxyl and/or sulfonic group(s) is preferable.
