Abstract:
To provide a method for coloring insect larvae, which can be used as the bait for, e.g., fish swimming in mountain torrents, with any color without substantially affecting them by giving them a feed containing a specific colorant.
This method gives insect larvae a feed containing an oil-soluble colorant. The oil-soluble colorant can be selected from the group consisting of butter yellow, Sudan orange, FD and C yellow No.4, FD and C red No.32, Sudan brown R, Sudan red (Sudan III), Sudan red BB (Sudan IV), Sudan black B, Sudan red 3R, Sudan violet R, Sudan blue GL, Sudan green BB and p- aminoazobenzene. The insect larva may be Galleriinae larva.
