Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance horizontal rigidity of a wooden column.SOLUTION: A column base part 80 of a column 50 is fixed by being embedded in a foundation 14 (footing part 18) for supporting the column 50. Thus, the column 50 is firmly fixed to the foundation 14. Consequently, a resistance force for resisting a horizontal force applied to the column 50 during earthquakes is increased.
