Abstract:
To provide a circuit for sensing a motor current using low side shunt resistance.
A combined motor drive and current sensing circuit comprises: power transistors (Q1, Q2) connected to a load, gate drive units (20, 22) for supplying gate drive signals to the power transistors, a current sensing device (Ru) for outputting a signal in proportion to a current flowing through the load, and a sample and hold circuit (28) which is controlled by the gate drive units, the load is driven and a load current is sensed.
