PURPOSE: To enable working with high efficiency and high accuracy by providing a general-purpose press which exchanges upper and lower dies according to required working adjacently to a punching press.
CONSTITUTION: A punching press 1 is provided freely selectably with plural pairs of upper and lower dies on a bolster 11 and blanks a hole by using a desired pair of the upper and lower dies. A general-purpose press 3 is provided with a pair of upper dies fixed to a ram 17 and lower dies fixed to a bolster 11 by means of, for example, a hydraulic pressure cylinder 19, etc. A die storing carriage 23 constituting a part of an automatic tool changer 21 on the right side of the press 3 rides on rails and is freely movable. The height position of the upper and lower dies is changed by means of the fluid pressure cylinder and cross link device. The upper and lower dies as a pair are moved between the carriage 23 and the ram 17 and bolster 11 by means of the fluid pressure cylinder, by which the dies are attached, detached and exchanged.
