To achieve both sealing of a joint between deflectors and cooling of the deflectors by collision of air jet in a narrow critical area existing between openings passing an injection system.
The present invention relates to an annular combustion chamber for a gas turbine engine including a wall constituting a chamber end wall. The chamber end wall is provided with openings for a fuel injection system. Heat shielding deflectors are fixed to the wall. The deflectors include a flat wall portion with an opening centered on the openings for the fuel injection systems, two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges. The deflectors include a tongue forming a joint cover along at least one of longitudinal edges and forming a housing along the edge for the edge of the adjacent deflector to seal the joint between the two adjacent edges of the two deflectors. The tongue is spaced away from the chamber end wall to form a space supplied with cooling air via orifices in the chamber end wall.
