The combustion device for a large kettle consists of an outer peripheral wall 1 having a cylindrical shape and capable of supporting large kettle 15 at the upper portion thereof, an inner peripheral wall 2 provided throughout the entire inside periphery along the wall 1 keeping a distance 17 between itself and the wall 1, and a combustion unit 3 held in the wall 2. A space 18 formed in the wall 2 is divided into an upper part and a lower part. A flame collecting unit 5 having a flame passing hole 6 at its center and allowing the spaces 18, 18 to communicate with each other is provided at a position above the combustion unit 3.
