Abstract:

To provide a combustion device permitting an igniting motion by determining whether a state that ignition can be performed in safety without explosive ignition, exists or not according to a situation of releasing an unburned fuel gas.

A bath heater device 1 including a pilot burner 16 applying a gas as a fuel, a thermocouple 28 detecting flame of the pilot burner 16, and a controller 6 confirming the ignition to the pilot burner 16 and determining misfire, further includes a raw gas integration timer for integrating a releasing time of the unburned fuel gas. When the controller 6 receives the igniting operation, the igniting motion is not performed until a prescribed ignition prohibition time Tb has passed, when a measurement value of the raw gas integration timer is a prescribed time Ta or more, and occurrence of the explosive ignition is prevented while permitting a re-igniting operation after the determination of misfire by adding a time measurement value Tc not reaching the prescribed time Ta to the raw gas integration timer, when the misfire is determined in determining the misfire.
