Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect the outer surface of a combustor against corrosion due to acid drain by extending an exhaust tube downward from an exhaust opening to a drain neutralizer and interconnecting the exhaust tube and the drain neutralizer.
SOLUTION: A storage water heater body 10 is provided with a main heat exchanger 1a and a sub-heat exchanger 1b. A drain collecting case 110 containing a neutralization agent N is disposed under the body 10 through a drainage pipe 111. An exhaust tube 3 passing combustion exhaust gas from the sub-heat exchanger 1b is projecting from the side wall of the body 10. The exhaust tube 3 comprises a first inclining tube section 21, a second tube section 22, and a third inclining tube section 23. The third inclining tube section 23 is fixed with a tubular exhaust cover 24 while penetrating a front plate 12. Drain adhering to the third inclining tube section 23 flows down to the inner plate thereof thence flows through the second tube section 22 to the inclining face of the first inclining tube section 21 and to the inclining face of the bottom wall 101 before reaching the inlet of the drainage pipe 111. The drain is passed through the drainage pipe 111 and contained in the drain collecting case 110.
