Abstract:

To provide: a communication device capable of implementing control of a device to be controlled, such as a display unit, based on reference timing obtained from reception data without delay and at a low power consumption; a control signal generation method for controlling the device to be controlled; shutter glasses capable of implementing opening and closing of a shutter based on reference timing obtained from the reception data without delay and at low power consumption; and a communication system capable of implementing transmission and reception of data indicating the reference timing without delay and at low power consumption.

The present invention comprises: timing signal identification means which identifies whether or not a predetermined reference timing signal pattern is present within intermittently incoming data; control signal generation means which generates a control signal for the device to be controlled when the timing signal identification means identifies the presence of the predetermined reference timing signal pattern; and control means which implements control of the communication device.
