To provide a node stop method for dynamically changing a structure of a network in accordance with a utilization rate by an autonomously distributive procedure and enabling stopping of a node while a redundant path is maintained in an environment in which an unnecessary node is stopped.
In the network where the plurality of nodes are connected by respective links (layer 2 topology), when a part of nodes is set to be a stop node, a procedure for calculating the layer 3 topology by layer 2 topology information, confirming whether the respective nodes are included in all the paths of the calculated layer 3 topology and determining whether the nodes are stop candidate nodes or not; a procedure for announcing that the nodes are the stop candidate nodes to the other nodes in the network when they are the stop candidate nodes; and a procedure for performing stop propriety determining algorithm in a previously determined node order when a plurality of stop candidate nodes exist and determining stop propriety by considering connectivity of the network before and after the stop so as to determine the stop candidate; are sequentially performed.
