Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize efficient preferential control and simplification of logic of band reservation (scheduling) more than a conventional device.
SOLUTION: A communication device, which preferentially controls and transfers packets transmitted through a plurality of channels, is equipped with a means which schedules a received packet, based on maximum guaranteed band velocity set in the channel of the packet concerned, a band controller which controls the order of transmitting the scheduled packets and decides the packet to be transmitted, based on the quality of the service set in the channel of the packet concerned, a counter on reception side which directs the timing of executing the scheduling, and a counter on transmission side which directs the timing of deciding the packet to be transmitted in a band controller, and the counter on reception side and the counter on transmission side count up them in the same fixed cycles, and the renewal timing of the counter on transmission side is a certain predetermined time later, shorter than the cycle of the count up, from the point of time of the renewal of the counter on reception side.
