There is provided a communication terminal for preventing an owner of a destination communication terminal from divulging personal information to a third party. When an owner of a communication terminal ( 11 ) passes to a destination communication terminal ( 12 ) his or her personal information on which he or she desires to place disclosure restrictions, a presentation attribute which is set to "not permitting presentation" is transmitted together with the personal information. When the destination communication terminal ( 12 ) passes the personal information of the communication terminal ( 11 ) to another communication terminal, the presentation attribute of the personal information of the communication terminal ( 11 ) is checked in the destination communication terminal ( 12 ). If the presentation attribute is set to "not permitting presentation", the destination communication terminal ( 12 ) prevents itself from transmitting the personal information to the other communication terminal.
