Abstract:
The communication system includes: first terminal devices each connected to a transmission path and having predetermined terminal information; a second terminal device connected to the transmission path and configured to send an information request for requesting the first terminal device to provide the terminal information thereof; a first superimposing apparatus interposed between the first terminal device and the transmission path; and a second superimposing apparatus interposed between the second terminal device and the transmission path and configured to receive the information request from the second terminal device. The first superimposing apparatus acquires the terminal information from the first terminal device connected to itself at a predetermined timing and stores it therein. Upon receiving the information request, the second superimposing apparatus sends the received information request to the first superimposing apparatus by use of a superimposed signal superimposed on a transmission signal transmitted via the transmission path. Upon receiving the information request, the first superimposing apparatus sends the stored terminal information to the second superimposing apparatus by use of the superimposed signal. Upon receiving the terminal information, the second superimposing apparatus provides the received terminal information to the second terminal device.
