To provide a communication terminal for improving convenience when using a content, which the owner of data memory module has already got permission, in a communication terminal, on which the data memory module is mounted when it is used.
In UIM 50, content information for indicating a content with usage permission already got by an owner of UIM 50, along with the use of a portable telephone 40, and communication address of a content server 10 for offering the content are stored with their relation. When the UIM 50 is mounted on a portable telephone 40, the portable telephone 40 determines whether the same content as the one stored in the UIM 50 is stored in the portable telephone 40 or not. When it is not stored, the content is down-loaded from the content server 10 by using the communication address stored in the UIM 50, and the portable telephone 40 stores this content.
