The magnifying observation apparatus is provided with: an imaging means for imaging an observation image; and a display means for displaying the observation image on the basis of a signal acquired by an operation means; and further a simple observation condition setting means for setting a simple observation condition under which a plurality of observation images are simply acquired; a simple observation image display means for displaying a plurality of the simple observation images acquired by each of a plurality of the simple observation conditions set by the simple observation condition setting means; a selection means for selecting a desired simple observation image from among a plurality of the simple observation images displayed by the simple observation image display means; an observation condition setting means capable of furthermore setting a simple condition as required on the basis of the simple observation condition set to the simple observation image selected by the selection means; and an observation image display means for displaying the observation image acquired on the basis of the observation condition set by the observation condition setting means.
