To provide a compacting machine control method and a control system capable of operating a compacting machine highly efficiently in terms of compacting effects or the degree of compaction and properly inhibiting application of vibration load not lower than a specific level on a neighboring building.

Measurement is made directly on an important measuring point, or on a measuring point of interest, i.e., directly on a building in general, so that local soil characteristics at issue have no influence on the vibration measurement value taken at the building. Therefore, detection of incorrect load, in an eventuality, obtained on the basis of back calculation or extrapolation using a soil parameter which cannot be described in details becomes unnecessary.
