Title:
COMPLEX SINTERED CAM MEMBER IN CAM SHAFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03236406
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture the subject complex sintered cam member having extremely little deformation at the time of sintering by constituting inside layer and outside layer in the complex sintered cam member in a cam shaft with the specific compositions of Fe base sintered alloys, respectively.

CONSTITUTION: By using the Fe base sintered alloy having composition com posed of 3 - 5wt.% Ni, 1 - 2% Cu, 0.2 - 0.8% Mo, 0.1 - 0.5% C and the balance of Fe with inevitable impurities, the inside layer in the cam member having little sintering shrinkage ratio is formed. Further, by using the Fe base sintered alloy having composition composed of 6 - 18wt.% Cr, 1 - 4% Mo, 2 - 3.5% C and the balance of Fe with inevitable impurities, the outside layer in the cam member having excellent wear resistance is formed. By this method, the complex sintered cam member in the cam shaft having prescribed dimensional accuracy of extremely little shrinkage ratio at the time of sintering, is obtd.
