To solve the problem that a conventional lid opening device makes an uneconomical provision of dedicated lid opening devices to open lids of various cans and bottles sealed in different manners, that storage of the lid opening devices requires a large storage space, and that a conventional lid opening device having lid opening functions for different applications at both ends of a single output shaft makes the other develop an excessive or a deficient capacity when one of the functions is set to develop a proper capacity.
There is provided a composite automatic lid opening device which comprises a gear shifting means formed of a gear train for matching an output of a motor with purposes of a plurality of output shafts, and a gear train switching means. Thus optimum running torque is transmitted to each output shaft and can selectively drive only one of the output shafts via the switching means, which contributes to improved safety. Further the lid opening device is formed into a top hung type, and therefore an installation space and a storage space can be saved.
