PURPOSE: To keep high decorating properties by laminating a plastic film having an embossed pattern, a stretched void film and a base material in this order and coloring one of recessed and protruding parts forming the embossed pattern on the surface of the plastic film.
CONSTITUTION: A composite sheet 1 is prepared, for example, by a method wherein a film 2 and a stretched void film 3 are preliminarily superposed and bonded to prepare a composite film and a base material 4 is bonded to the surface of the stretched void film of the composite film and an embossed pattern is formed to the surface of the obtained composite sheet by emboss-processing or wrinkling processing and staining processing is subsequently applied to the embossed pattern imparted surface of the composite sheet. The staining processing is performed, for example, by a method wherein the composite sheet is passed between a press bonding roll and the applicator roll immersed in a container containing color paint such as printing ink at one end thereof and pumping up a definite amount of the paint by rotation while pressed under predetermined pressure and the printing ink on the protruding parts (b) of the embossed pattern surface is scraped off by a doctor knife and, thereafter, the composite sheet is dried and heat-treated if necessary to fix the ink.
