To provide a composition including a phosphorescent compound and a polymer compound, which is useful for production of a phosphorescent element excellent in emission efficiency.
A composition includes: (I) a phosphorescent compound having at least one ligand composed of a 5-membered ring compound containing three nitrogen atoms as specific heteroatoms; and (II) a polymer compound composed of structural units selected from a structural unit represented by formula (1)-1, a structural unit represented by formula (1)-2, a structural unit represented by formula (2)-1, and a structural unit represented by formula (2)-2, the polymer compound including at least both the structural unit represented by formula (1)-1 and the structural unit represented by formula (1)-2 [In the formulae, each of R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 independently represents a predetermined atom or the like].
