Abstract:
To provide compositions for promoting growth of Fusicatenibacter genus and to provide methods for promoting growth thereof.SOLUTION: The above subject is achieved, since the number of Fusicatenibacter genus in the intestinal flora can be increased by orally administering a composition containing water-soluble dietary fibers as an active ingredient. When the number of Fusicatenibacter genus increases, it can be expected to prevent or ameliorate intestinal diseases and various symptoms caused by changes in the intestinal flora. Further, since the composition according to the present invention contains water-soluble dietary fibers with a history use as foods and Fusicatenibacter genus that is present in the intestinal flora, it has few side effects even after long-term intake, and is advantageous for foods and pharmaceutical applications.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
