Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form of composition for audio/video summary information which facilitates speedy and effective retrieval of it.
SOLUTION: In the description of slide summary having a part (small segment or frame) of single or plural audio/video contents as a slide composition element, the description of its time position or location (file name) in the original contents is added in order to designate the linkage from the slide composition element to the original contents. For example, the position of a segment of original contents in the original media file is described in the slide summary file as a 'media position', based upon the time code and the length from the top of the file. The position of the slide composition element in the original media file is also described in the slide summary file as a 'media time', based upon the time code counted from the top of the file.
