Abstract:

To obtain a coated paper for gravure printing, excellent in surface strength, stiffness and anti-blocking property, and less generating missing dots, and a composition used for production of such coated paper for gravure printing.

This coated paper for gravure printing is obtained by coating a composition used for the coated paper for gravure printing, which contains a pigment, hollow polymer particles and an adhesive consisting of a copolymer latex and a starch, in which the copolymer latex has 0.06-0.2 μm number-average particle diameter, the glass transition temperature of a copolymer constituting the copolymer latex is (-)50-(+)45°C and further, the weight ratio of the copolymer latex to the starch is (80/20)-(5/95) based on their solid portions, over a raw material paper.
