Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a variation of torque applied to a shaft in a proper state when driving an air compressor and a high-pressure fuel supply pump while arranging them coaxially.SOLUTION: In a complex function device 1 having an air compressor 8 to which a drive force of a drive shaft 9 is coaxially transmitted, and a supply pump 4 having a high-pressure supply pump 5, the air compressor 8 comprises: a metering valve 42 which is brought into a state for transmitting torque to the drive shaft 9 in a partial range of a phase of the drive shaft 9, adjusts a fuel amount which is pressure-sent to a common rail 6, and can supply fuel to the high-pressure fuel supply pump 5; and a metering control valve 21 for adjusting the fuel amount supplied to the high-pressure fuel supply pump 5 by the metering valve 42 so that torque for driving the supply pump 4 in the partial range of the phase reaches torque or larger which is transmitted to the drive shaft 9 in the partial range of the phase by the air compressor 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
