PURPOSE: To provide a new compound that improves corrosion resistance on metal surface by applying it to the surface and reduces deterioration due to oxidation.
CONSTITUTION: This is a new compound of formula I (R is H, a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon, hydrocarbonoxy, hydrocarbon carbonyl, or hydrocarbon carbonyloxy; Y1 is formula II or formula IV and Y2 is a group of formula III or formula V, respectively; R1 and R2 are each H, a substituted hydrocarbon group or unsubstituted, hydrocarbon group; R3-R6 are each a 1-4C aminoalkyl, SH, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C hydroxyalkyl, and further R4 and R6 are each H or a 20C or less hydrocarbon group; X is a direct bonding or bivalent bonding group; (n) is O or positive value). For example, compound of formula VI, can be manufactured i) by reacting the new material of formula VII with hydroxyamine or its salt, (ii) by reaction of the compound of formula VIII with hexamethylene tetraamine and then by hydrolysis, or iii) by reacting the compound of formula VIII in the presence of formaldehyde with amine of formula NHR3R4 or NHR5R6.
