Abstract:
To provide a new compound that stimulates a rate of glucose oxidation in myocardial cells.
The compound is represented by formula (I). A pharmaceutical composition to stimulate glucose oxidation is obtained from the compound. Using the composition or a kit including the composition, the rate of glucose oxidation is enhanced to treat myocardial ischemia. An example is cyclopropane carboxylic acid and 2-[2-(2-methoxy-ethoxy)-ethoxy]ethyl ester.
