This compound wire rope uses high strength steel wires and comprises a core part 7 in which twisted wires are coated with a high polymer around the periphery, at least one side layer comprising several bundles of twisted wires, high performance fiber strands as a main body and an coating layer installed on the periphery of those bundles. The fiber strands are filled among the bundles in the side layer. The outer coating layer comprises a high polymer.
