PURPOSE: To enable highly efficient and high-speed molding by putting infrared transparent molding material between an infrared absorbing mold and an infrared transparent pressing mold, irradiating them with infrared ray from the pressing mold side to the absorbing mold side and pressing the material.

CONSTITUTION: A molded object forming part 2 is provided in the mold 1 which is composed of black material or plated in black color to absorb infrared ray effectively. On the other hand, the pressing mold 3 installed oppositely to the mold 1 is composed of transparent material of high infrared transmittance. Then, molding material 4 is inserted into the molded object forming part 2. This molding material 4 is the sheet or the preformed article of transparent thermoplastics. When infrared ray is irradiated from the pressing mold 3 side during the pressing mold 3 being pressurized, infrared ray transmits the pressing mold 3 and molding material 4, and it is absorbed by the surface of the mold 1, generates heat and heats the molding material 4 and softens it. Then molding material deforms and it is molded.
