To organize an environment for easily preserving projection data and re-constituting an image, in order to use image data which is re-constituted by using an image re-constitution parameter most suitable for a CAD data processing, in a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system using medical image data.
This CAD system includes: a large scale data storage device; and a high speed data processor, which are arranged on a network. The system also includes; a mechanism for storing projection data collected by a medical image diagnostic instrument in the large scale data storage device; a mechanism with which a user on the network reads projection data from the large scale data storage device, and transfers the data to the high speed data processor, a mechanism for re-constituting the image by using the image re-constituting parameter desired by the user with respect to the projection data; a mechanism for performing the CAD data processing in re-constituted image data through the use of the CAD data processing parameter desired by the user; and a mechanism for transferring the result to the user.
