Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily provide the high-reliability system while utilizing an ordinary disk for single processor and its connecting means by respectively providing specified identifiers at mutually connected plural computers and storage devices.

CONSTITUTION: A small computer system interface (SCSI) bus 141 connecting a computer 111 of a master system and a disk 161 and an SCSI bus 142 connecting a computer 112 of a slave system and a disk 162 are used together for connecting the computers 111 and 112. Then, the disk 161 and the computers 111 and 112 are respectively provided with identifiers (SCSI-ID) and the same identifier as the identifier of the disk 161 is set to the computer 112. Thus, the computer 112 is recognized just like a disk from the computer 111 and data can be transferred to the computer 112 while using the program of access to the disk 116. Thus, only by connecting the general-purpose computers through the SCSI buses, the computer system of multiple systems can be constituted.
