To provide a method for manufacturing a conductive sponge roller having a stable electric resistance and satisfactory rotating torque in use at low cost, and to provide the conductive sponge rubber roller obtained by the manufacturing method.
The method of manufacturing conductive sponge rubber roller comprises a step of cylindrically molding a non-vulcanized conductive rubber member on the outer circumference of a vulcanizing-molding metal core, a step of forming the vulcanized or semi-vulcanized conductive sponge rubber member by heating the conductive rubber member, a step of separating the conductive sponge rubber member from the vulcanizing-molding metal core and obtaining a conductive sponge rubber cylinder, a step of applying the metal shaft member with vulcanizing adhesive agent, a step of inserting the metal shaft member into the conductive sponge rubber cylinder, and a step of performing the vulcanization-adhesion of the conductive sponge rubber cylinder and the metal shaft member.
