Title:
CONDUCTOR SEGMENT JUNCTION TYPE ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3769990
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve electrical insulation property and cooling property of the junction end, by energizing a dissolving part at the end of the conductor segment pair in one direction of the circumference direction to solidifying this part in view of forming the joining end into a shape, expanded with deviation toward one direction in the circumferential direction.
SOLUTION: In order to expand only a joining part 33g of a conductor segment in one direction of the circumferential direction, a tungsten electrode is relatively moved in the expanding side of the joining part 33g during generation of arc. A gap 332 in the radial direction is formed between the joining portions 33g, 33g adjacent to the gap 331 in the circumferential direction and radial direction. After the formation of a joining part 33g, the joining part 33g is covered with an insulation resin, and a gap for supplying the air as the cooling medium is formed between the joining portions. As a result, a gap between the joining portions 33g, 33g adjacent to the circumferential direction can be enlarged to improve insulation property. Moreover, the cooling property can be improved with increase in amount of air passing such a gap.
