Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an excellent fixation rate of toner by incorporating a specific compound and an inorganic infrared absorbing agent in a coloring agent in combination with the coloring agent.
SOLUTION: In the flash-fixable color toner for electrophotography containing a binder resin and the coloring agent, an ester compound shown by the formula and the infrared absorbing agent are incorporated in the coloring agent in combination with the coloring agent. In the formula, (m) is a positive integer of 10-30; (n) is a positive integer of 1-7. As the binder resin to be used, epoxy resin, polyester resin, polyether-polyol resin, silicone resin and the like are cited as examples. It is preferable that the ester compound shown by the formula is generally used by 1-20 wt.% on the basis of total weight of the toner. As the infrared absorbing agent used in combination with the ester compound, publicly known organic compounds having di-immonium cations, naphthalocyanine-like compounds, compounds having an azinium cation and the like are preferably exemplified.
