Title:
CONJUGATE BINDER FIBER HAVING ANTIMICROBIAL PROPERTY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000345434
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a conjugate binder fiber suitable for nonwoven fabrics for hygienic materials and having antimicrobial property with high durability by arranging a polyester-based resin in the core part and arranging a polyolefin- based resin, to which a specific phosphite is added, having lower melting point than that of the above polyester in the sheath part.

This antimicrobial conjugate binder fiber is obtained by carrying out conjugate spinning so that a polyester-based resin having ≥150°C melting point, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate is arranged in the core part and a polyolefin-based resin such as polyethylene or polypropylene having a melting point lower by ≥20°C than that of the above polyester-based resin is arranged in the sheath part.
