Title:
CONNECTING NAIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09177742
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To resolve a problem of environmental pollution by forming a connecting material with a material for decomposing the connecting material with microorganisms existing in nature into organic components, or carbon dioxide gas and water, and making its original form disappear.

A connecting material 1 is sheared by striking the head part of a nail 6 by a nailing machine at a cutout 4 into a few millimeters and driven into wood with fragments of the connecting material 1. The fragments are separated from the nail 6 by the head part of the nail 6 driven into wood, only the nail 6 is driven into wood, and the fragments are scattered around. Since microorganisms for decomposing the connecting material 1 are not existing in the normal atmosphere or clear water, the strength characteristics and the corrosion resistance of the material can be maintained by forming the connecting material 1 with a material constituted of biodegradable plastic, and performance as the connecting material 1 can be secured. When the connecting material is buried as fragment in the soil, it is decomposed by microorganisms finally into carbon dioxide gas and water, and therefore, a problem of environmental pollution can be resolved.
