Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of force separating each semi-circle bearing caused by bending deformation during operation by providing at least one plane section at the leg of the connecting rod contacting with an indirect shaft, and/or at the surface of the semi-circle bearing at the top of the connecting rod, in the part most separated away from the connecting rod body.

CONSTITUTION: The connecting rod has a body 1 and connecting rod leg 2 forming a bearing, rod being formed with two elements 5 symmetrical with respect to the vertical center plane 6, which element 5 has two semi-circle bearings 7. A plane section 13 formed on the surface 12 of the semi-circle bearing 7 in the part most separated away from the body 1 such that the angle of the arc should be not more than 45 degrees. If the angle between two semi-circle bearings is 180 degrees, then the plane section 13 should be perpendicular to the vertical center plane 6. By enlarging the contact area of the plane section 13, the contact force between the piston pin and the plane section 13 will be in parallel to the vertical center plane 6 and the connecting plane 9, so that the component of force normal to these plane will be null. Thereby the plane section causes the piston pin not to turn with respect to the connecting rod leg.
