PURPOSE: To easily attach and detach plural surge-absorbing elements in a connection device for communication line by providing plural sets of gap-type or micro-gap-type surge-absorbing elements and low-melting point metal wires.
CONSTITUTION: The structure is such that a combination of a gap-type or a micro-gap type surge-absorbing element and a low-melting point metal wire connected to the element and arranged in series is provided to each specified connection terminal. That is, for terminals 11,12 on the communication line side, terminals 14,15 on the electronic equipment side, and the ground terminal 13, respective lead terminals are extended out from the rear side of a base member 2', joined to a wiring board 3 under a connection device, and then connected to respective socket fitting fixtures 4 and an earth terminal 5. Connection legs by metal plate-spring clip, i.e., the socket fitting fixtures 4, are provided for respective terminals, under the base member 2'. The respective fitting fixtures 4 are fitted and electrically connected to the respective sockets provided on a connection plate. Accordingly only by inserting into the sockets, connecting is performed.
