Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an embedded connector comprising an improved elastomer compound by a method wherein the connector is composed of an insulator having opposed surfaces, and a large number of wires, and the insulator is formed from a specific material.
CONSTITUTION: An electrical connector 2 comprises an insulator 5 having a first surface 6 and a second surface 8, which are opposite to each other, and a large number of conductor wires 4. These conductor wires 4 extend from the first surface 6 of the connector 2 to the second surface 8 on the opposite side of the connector 2. The insulator 5 having the tensile strength exceeding 170 psi contains bridged polysiloxane having filler containing 10 or 30 wt.% of zinc oxide and lanthanoid oxide, and having bridged random copolymer made of 70 or 90 wt.% of dimethyl siloxane and diphenyl siloxane. Each of the wires 4 generally has a spherical end 10 on the surface 6, and is formed in a flat spherical shape 12 on the surface 8. The connector 2 is located between paired electronic parts 14 and 16.
