PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that is able to improve terminal holding force and contact stability.SOLUTION: A female connector comprises: an accommodating chamber 4 formed in a female housing 2; a female terminal 3; and a lance 7 projecting from the internal face of the accommodating chamber 4 and formed so as to be elastically deformable. The female terminal 3 includes: a box part 9 which is a front portion thereof in the direction of insertion; a front end face 12a of a lance hole 12 provided on the bottom plate 91 of the box part 9, and serves as a locked face, which is locked to the lance 7 when the female terminal 3 is accommodated in a predetermined normal position in the accommodating chamber 4; a contact spring 14 provided on the internal face side of the external plate 95 of the box part 9, and pressing the tab 103a of a male terminal 103 toward the bottom plate 91; and a bead 15 provided on the bottom plate 91 of the box part 9 and formed on the internal face of the bottom plate 91 along an extending direction so as to have a projecting shape. This bead 15 is provided so as to reach the front end face 12a of the lance hole 12 from the front of the female terminal 3 in the direction of the insertion.
