PURPOSE: To constitute the whole compactly by arranging a dissociation time circuit short-circuiting member in a pair of connectors, and using it as a short-circuiting means of a lock connection detecting circuit.

CONSTITUTION: A connector is provided with a short-circuiting member 4 which is composed of a lock connection detecting body C whose locking is released when lock connection of female and male connector housings A and B is carried out and has an elastic contact piece 4b coming into contact with plural female terminal metal fittings 6 and plural female terminal metal fittings 6 in the femal connector housing B. Male terminal metal fittings 6' corresponding to the female terminal metal fittings 6, a shortcircuit releasing insulating member 12 and a pair of terminal metal fittings 13 are arranged in the femal connector housing B, and a lock connection detecting insulating member 18 to the shortcircuiting member 4 is arranged in the lock connection detecting body C. When the lock connection of the female and male connector housings A and B is carried out, the short-circuit releasing insulating member 12 enters between the female terminal metal fittings 6 and the short-circuiting member 4, and the terminal metal fittings 13 in a lock connection detecting circuit is opposed to the elastic contact piece 4b in the short-circuiting member 4 through the lock connection detecting insulating member 18.
