Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve profitability by adding SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O or K2O to glass scrap containing silicate.
CONSTITUTION: The scraps (Example: the wastage of building containing asbestos) containing the silicate, are mixed with 37-70 wt.%, SiO2, 2-14 wt.% Al2O3, 10-40 wt.% CaO and/or MgO, 1.5-15 wt.% Na2O and/or K2O and, charged into a glass melting furnace and melted, and then cooled and solidified with a glass cooling/forming device and the construction material of silicate glass containing 0.1-2.0 wt.% heavy metal, 0.2-0.8 wt.% S, 0-3.5 wt.% Cl and 0-2 wt.% Fe and having length of 1-50 mm and thickness of 1-20 mm is obtained.
