Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the said construction of oscillator excellent in the frequency characteristics and transient phenomena, by providing the stylus tip of the same material as the center cantilever with incorporation, with the central cantilever of specific types of materials.

CONSTITUTION: The oscillator 21 of pickup cartridge is formed with the cantilever 22 using high specific elasticity material (boron, titanium nitride and silicon carbide etc.) having ≥5,000kg/cm2 specific elasticity and ≥9 Mohs hardness, and the stylus 23 of the same material. That is, boron is coated to the Al wire 15, the layer 17 of uniform boron is formed at the external circumference and the projection 18 of boron is at the tip, to achieve the semifinished product of the oscillator. Next, after the semifinished product is cut off to a suitable length by the diamond cutter and the projection 18 is polished to stylus shape, this is chemically etched to remove the Al wire 15 being the substrate and to obtain the oscillator construction 19 in pipe shape consisting only of boron.
