In the container for housing a fuel reformer comprising a base body 1 having a cavity in which the fuel reformer 9 for producing a reformed gas containing gaseous hydrogen from a fuel is housed, a discharge pipe 5b which connects the inside of the cavity to the outside to discharge the reformed gas from the fuel reformer 9, a supply pipe 5a which communicates the inside of the cavity with the outside to supply the fuel into the fuel reformer 9, and a cap body 4 connected to the base body 1 to close the cavity, a groove 13 for exhausting a gas in the cavity is formed at least in one of the connected part of the base body 1 to the cap body 4 and the connected part of the cap body 4 to the base body.
